Professor P. A. Sorokin, Dr. Ashley Montague, Dr. Gardner
Murphy, Dr. Donald Faulkner, President Howard B. Jefferson of Clark
University, President Charles W. Cole of Amherst are among those
who have been invited and are expected to participate as resource
leaders, particularly in the evening forums.
The final program. Including speakers and leaders, will be
Issued to prospective participants in June, but we should emphasize
our intention to operate as a Workshop, adjusting the daytime
conference aspects in particular to needs as they develope.
Vie attach prime importance to this first summer V/orkshop, and
are therefore Issuing personal invitations. Except for a general
notice in MAIN CURRENTS, we are not broadcasting any announcement.
VJe .are giving priority to the group known to be aware of and at
work upon the central problem, the unity of knowledge as confirming
values for our survival in peace and freedom.
However, we are trying to make sure of reaching those who
might be disappointed if not notified. VJe of the Foundation staff
have been overwhelmed by the opportunities which have poured in
upon us, and are far behind on our schedule.
Would you, therefore, write to other friends, calling their
attention to the program enclosed, and send us (on the enclosed
card) the names of those to whom you have written?
